Keep your bearings.

Shipmate is an offline game. Your voyages are saved locally on your iPhone and are not uploaded to a server.

Controls

• Drag the left stick to steer and set sail. A short drag keeps the ship reefed.
• Hold and drag the right stick to train the guns. Release to fire the broadside.
• Slow down near a port to dock. The dock prompt appears when you are close enough.
• Use the menu button to open the chart, inventory, ship, standings, settings, and Captain's Log.

Save recovery

Shipmate keeps three local save slots. Do not delete the app if you need to keep a voyage. Reinstalling iOS apps can remove their local save data.

Purchases and ads

Are voyages free?

Yes. Every voyage and all of the sea are free. Pearl packs and one-time bundles are optional.

How do I restore purchases?

Open the Purser or Settings and choose Restore. Use the same Apple account that made the purchases. The game asks Apple for your available purchase history and adds anything it can recover.

What do the bundles contain?

The starter bundle gives you a cutter, a mortar, and 300 pearls. The captain's charter gives you revives without an ad, 30 pearls a day, every sail dye and rail paint, pearl sails, and a gold leaf rail.

Why did an ad not load?

The optional revive ad may be unavailable because you are offline, no ad is available in your region, or a required consent choice has not allowed an ad request. You can try again or use pearls. Where required, Settings > Ad privacy lets you review your ad choice.

Performance

For the smoothest sailing, close other demanding apps, keep your iPhone updated, and use Settings to reduce motion if you prefer fewer effects.
